A downloadable game for Windows and Linux

A Dark Tale, Is a graphic novel. It tells the story of Jeremiah, A writer living in the tragedies of the past. But he will receive an unexpected visitor and a chance to change his own history.

This small tale is experimental, I made it to create a cinematic like artwork created using photography, film and CGI. to obtain a mixed style. The goal was to create "living pages" You will find that almost every background is animated.

This game has an auto save function.

I didn't post this, but it seems to be important. The crow on the window corner, will take you to the home screen.

You can either restart the game "start over" or resume from were the game autosaves with "resume" at any moment.

It will autosave on points that will not leave you on a loop of certain death

I hope you enjoy it as much as i did doing it.

This game is completely free. No payments at all.

Thanks!

I found the story interesting and it had a unique artstyle and I don't see very often. That said, I wish there was some ambient music in the game. Beyond that, nice game.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. http://www.youtube.com/c/Levont

Hey! Thanks for the review. Looks like you got the ugly endings! There are two short endings and two that will require to play a bit more. And.. there's a "good" ending ๐Ÿ‘

This was a highly experimental stuff, so it's basically focused on longer texts and animated backgrounds.

We are currently working on another project that requires a lot more of interaction from the user, and will take a bit to be baked. As you pointed, there's no music, and that will keep me on logic making some atmosphere with non intrusive music. Also, we are heavily working on character concepts. So next time the blend will be more tasty.

Cheers! And thanks again.

Hey! I want to say thanks for what I consider awesome and overwhelmingly positive for me. This project has gone beyond 110 downloads and I started working on another that in spite of the introduction of new elements (voice over and  ambient sounds among other stuff) will keep the same spirit and share some style rules. Thanks people. Inspiration comes when you see that someone has actually played your game!
